Taking place Dec. 17 from 3-5 p.m. French time (9 a.m. EST, not including extra time), the December Online Sale has been further added to with shares in Zarak and Castle du Berlais, as well as a breeding right to Thunder Moon .
Lot 10 - a share (1/50th) in Zarak
The sire of 16% stakes winners or placed horses from his whole production to date, Zarak has notably sired Poule d'Essai des Poulains (G1) winner Metropolitan , as well as group 1 winners Haya Zark and Zagrey. He has also produced group 1 placed performers La Parisienne, Spanish Eyes, Straight, Times Square, Zarakem, Crown Princess and Purplepay. A son of the excellent Dubawi out of the exceptional Zarkava , the Aga Khan Studs stallion was also a group 1 winner himself. The share gives right to one covering per year, plus an additional covering every other year, for example, two coverings in 2025, one covering in 2026 etc.
Lot 11 - a share (1/40th) in Castle du Berlais
A son of Saint des Saints out of the Auteuil champion Royale Athenia, a daughter of Garde Royale, Castle du Berlais won twice at 3 over fences, including in the Prix Roger de Minvielle. Standing at Haras du Lion, he has produced recent group winner at 3 Couer D'Amour, group 2 winner Goliath Du Rheu as well as listed scorers Try Line, Permis De Tuer, Ocastle Des Mottes and Kassel Allen. The share gives the right to one covering a year.
Lot 12 - a breeding right to Thunder Moon
Winner of the Vincent O'Brien National Stakes (G1) at 2 and placed in the Prix Jean Prat (G1) at 3, Thunder Moon is a son of Zoffany and hails from the family of group 1 winners Dress to Thrill, Free Eagle, Kyprios and Search For a Song. Standing at Haras de Bouquetot, his first foals were sold up to €68,000 (US$71,400,€1=US$1.05), €45,000 and €42,000 at the Arqana Vente d'Élevage and he will have his first yearlings in 2025. One covering a year is allocated to this breeding right with an additional covering to us in 2025 and 2026.
