Dam of Shotgun Hottie Among Keeneland Jan. Supplements

Keeneland has supplemented 70 horses—including in-foal broodmares, broodmare prospects, and newly turned yearlings—to the 2025 January Horses of All Ages Sale. The auction, which also includes horses of racing age along with stallions and stallion prospects, will cover three sessions from Jan. 13-15, 2025. 

The group of supplements to Book 1 of the January Sale released today includes these broodmares; broodmare prospects; and racing or broodmare prospects:

• Delahaye , a grade 3-winning daughter of Medaglia d'Oro   from the family of grade 1 winners Swagger Jack  and Malibu Prayer  and grade 2 winners Tap Dance and Valid . Consigned as a broodmare prospect by Four Star Sales, agent, the 4-year-old filly is out of Bella Carina, by War Front  . This year, Delahaye won the Mint Julep Stakes (G3T) at Churchill Downs and the Tom Benson Memorial Stakes at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots.
• Natalie Would, a 6-year-old daughter of Into Mischief   in foal to Gun Runner  . From the family of Racing Hall of Famer Alysheba, she is consigned by Trackside Farm (Tom Evans), agent for Greenwell Thoroughbreds. Natalie Would is out of grade 3-placed winner Global Hottie , by Dixie Chatter.
• Paris Secret , winner of the 2023 Providencia Stakes (G3T) at Santa Anita Park and cataloged as a racing or broodmare prospect. Consigned by ELiTE, agent, the 4-year-old daughter of Zoffany  is out of Cite Veron, a winning daughter of Tomorrows Cat.
• Poetic , a 9-year-old daughter of Violence   whose multiple graded stakes-performing first foal, Ah Jeez , placed in the Frank E. Kilroe Mile Stakes (G1T). Poetic is offered in foal to two-time champion male sprinter Elite Power  . Cataloged alongside her is her 2024 filly by Mitole  . Both are consigned by Grovendale Sales, agent. 
• Pretty Birdie , a grade 3 winner by Bird Song  in foal to Candy Ride  . From the family of 2003 champion 3-year-old filly Bird Town and 2004 Belmont Stakes (G1) winner Birdstone, she is consigned by Gainesway, agent for the Estate of John Hendrickson. Pretty Birdie, who sold for $1.1 million during Book 1 of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, never had been observed as a cribber, but she was seen to crib postsale. For that reason, the mare is being reoffered at the January Sale. Pretty Birdie is out of Bird Sense, by Street Sense  .
• Re Entry, a daughter of Malibu Moon and the dam of four winners from six to race, including graded stakes-winning millionaire Shotgun Hottie , who sold for $1.5 million at this year's Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale to Case Clay Thoroughbred Management. Consigned by Gainesway, agent, Re Entry is offered in foal to Candy Ride, grandsire of Shotgun Hottie.
• School Dance , runner-up in the 2022 American Oaks (G1T) and 2023 Royal Heroine Stakes (G2T), is a daughter of Animal Kingdom  from the immediate family of grade 1 winners Al's Gal  and Ivar . Consigned by Paramount Sales, agent, she is cataloged as a racing or broodmare prospect.
• Senora Roma , a winning stakes-placed daughter of Verrazano  in foal to Elite Power. Out of Willathewest, by Gone West, she is from the family of grade 1 winner Willa On the Move. St George Sales, agent, consigns Senora Roma.

Additional supplements include mares in foal to American Pharoah  , Arcangelo  , Corniche  , Elite Power, Girvin  , Gunite  , Life Is Good  , McKinzie  , Nyquist  , and Taiba  .

Nineteen short yearlings also are among the supplements and are progeny of stallions including Classic Empire , Cyberknife  , Daredevil  , Flameaway  , Golden Pal  , Greatest Honour  , Jack Christopher  , Jackie's Warrior  , Maclean's Music  , Mandaloun  , Maxfield  , McKinzie, Nashville  , and Yaupon  .
