First Winner for E Z's Gentleman

Description:
E Z's Playgirl captured the sixth race at Lone Star Park July 17 and entered the books as the first winner for grade I-winning sprinter E Z's Gentleman .

E Z's Gentleman, a 10-year-old son of Yankee Gentleman  , stood for a 2015 fee of $2,500 at John O'Meara's Milestone Farm near Lexington.

Trained by George R. Bryant for owner Geneva Holmes, E Z's Playgirl was bumped twice at the start, but recovered to vie for command. Edging clear into the final furlong, she cruised under strong urging to tally by 1 3/4 lengths at 19-1 odds. Legacy Bloodstock consigned.

E Z's Gentleman, whose dam is the stakes-winning Distinctive Pro mare Tensie's Pro, was one of the top sprinters of 2010 after winning the Triple Bend Handicap (gr. I) and placing in four other graded stakes, including the Bing Crosby Stakes and Ancient Title Stakes (both gr. I). He compiled a 4-1-4 record from 18 career starts and earned $359,711 in three seasons.
