White Rocks wins the Cincinnati Trophy Stakes at Turfway Park

White Rocks , gate-to-wire winner of the Cincinnati Trophy Stakes Feb. 21, takes on a full field of 12 in the $300,000 Bourbonette Oaks March 22 at Turfway Park. The lightly-raced daughter of Frosted   will break from post 11, with Admit  and Somethinabouther , second and third place finishers, respectively, in the Cincinnati Trophy, breaking near the rail.

The 1 1/16-mile race for 3-year-old fillies offers qualifying points on the road to the Kentucky Oaks (G1), on a scale of 50-25-15-10-5 to the top-five finishers.

Victor Carrasco has the mount on the Arnaud Delacour-trained White Rocks for owners Jastar Capital, Polivka Equine Holdings, and Timothy Madden. She sits at 17 on the Kentucky Oaks leader board with 20 points, from her win in the Cincinnati Trophy Stakes.

Claiborne Farm's homebred Admit, rallied late to finish second behind White Rocks in the Cincinnati Trophy Stakes. She is trained by Thomas Drury Jr. and will be ridden by Irving Moncada. Mazarine Stakes (G3) winner Somethinabouther will be ridden by Declan Cannon for owners X-Men Racing IV, Madaket Stables, and SF Racing.

Trainer Jonathan Thomas sends out two runners—As Catch Can , and Will Then . Will Then, a daughter of War of Will  , was last seen winning the Jimmy Durante Stakes (G3T) over the turf at Del Mar Nov. 30. Florida-bred As Catch Can was second by a neck behind Somethinabouther in the Mazarine Stakes Nov. 3, and most recently second behind the Bob Baffert-trained Casalu  in the 6 1/2-furlong Sweet Life Stakes at Santa Anita Park Feb. 9. Both are owned by George Strawbridge Jr.'s Augustin Stables, which also bred Will Then. Gerardo Corrales will ride Will Then, and Frankie Dettori will be aboard As Catch Can.

The daughter of the late Laoban, sits just outside the top 20 fillies on the Kentucky Oaks leader board with 17.5 points. John Velazquez has the mount in the Bourbonette.

Eoin Harty will send out recent maiden winner Golden Sunshine , a Godolphin homebred. The daughter of Medaglia d'Oro   won a maiden special weight Feb. 13 at Turfway by 4 1/4 lengths. Vincent Cheminaud will be in the irons.
