First-out winner Piedra Preciosa  added some glitter to her victory by becoming the first winner for Darley America's freshman sire and multiple grade 1 winner Maxfield  .

The 2-year-old bay filly, raced by Alex Doyle with owner/trainer Rey Hernandez, prevailed by a nose over favorite Wanna Go Home , who was a nose in front of Mescat . The final time for the five-furlong race on Horseshoe Indianapolis' main track was 1:01.12.

Highlight Thoroughbreds and Haugh Stables bred Piedra Preciosa in Kentucky out of the unraced Kingmambo daughter Dancing Alone, who has already produced grade 3 winner Dancing Solo  (Giant's Causeway) and grade 1-placed runner Dancing  (Bernardini). Dancing Alone also is a full sister to multiple grade 1 winner Voodoo Dancer and graded-placed winners Gravette and Waycross.

Consignor Scott Mallory offered Piedra Preciosa at the 2024 Keeneland September Yearling Sale where she was a $27,000 buy-back.

Maxfield is a Godolphin homebred son of Darley's Street Sense  . He won six graded stakes while racing from 2 to 4, with his biggest wins coming in the 2019 Breeders' Futurity (G1) at 2 and the  2021 Clark Stakes (G1) at 4. He also was runner-up in the 2021 Whitney (G1) and Woodward (G1) stakes. He retired with an 8-2-1 record from 11 starts and earned $2,001,812. Maxfield stands at Darley for $40,000.
