Color Comin' In wins her debut at Churchill Downs

Spendthrift Farm's freshman sire and grade 1 winner Rock Your World   sired his first winner when his daughter Color Comin' In  won a $115,272 maiden special weight May 15 at Churchill Downs.

Raced by CKDS Racing Stable and trainer Norm Casse, Color Comin' In overcame a slow start and advanced into a stalking position along the rail at the half-mile pole and then took the lead with a quarter-mile to go. She drew off to win by three lengths with Luis Saez in the saddle. The final time for five furlongs on a dirt track rated fast was :58.14.

Tomislav Mitrovski bred Color Comin' In out of the stakes-placed Dixie Union winner Sleepless Dixie , who has now produced five winners from seven foals to race. Sleepless Dixie is a half sister to grade 2 winner Deeply Undervalued  (Kitten's Joy) and graded-placed stakes winner Sleepless Knight (War Chant).

Color Comin' In sold for $11,000 to Alejandro Vargas during the 2024 Ocala Breeders' Sales October Yearling Sale and then matured into a six-figure juvenile. Agent Justin Casse bought her for $100,000 from Navas Equine during this year's OBS March 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale.

Rock Your World stands for $5,000. The son of Candy Ride   won his racing debut, became a stakes winner in his second career start in the 2021 Pasadena Stakes, and then won the 2021 Santa Anita Derby (G1) for Hronis Racing, Talla Racing, and trainer John Sadler.
