BloodHorse Earns American Horse Publications Honors

BloodHorse secured three honors from American Horse Publications in its 2025 Equine Media Awards.

In a May 22 release, AHP announced that Bloodhorse.com received a Second Honor in the category of equine-related website while BloodHorse Magazine was first runner-up in the category of general excellence for a print publication in its circulation category. 

The website honor notes that Byron King serves as news editor and Chris Wittmer as senior web producer while the magazine honor notes that Karen Johnson is features editor and Catherine Nichols is art director. Both awards note that Frank Angst serves as BloodHorse editorial director.

Keeneland Magazine earned a second in the a personality profile category for Rich Copley's story on Tom Hammond, headlined "Hometown Boy Makes Good."
