Rain Postpones Cape Henlopen Stakes Until June 14

Turf racing at Delaware Park
Due to the significant rainfall in the region this week and the forecasted precipitation, the $200,000 Cape Henlopen, a mile and a half turf race, has been rescheduled from this Saturday and will be run as a supporting feature on the Delaware Derby & Oaks card on Saturday, June 14.
The remaining seven races on the live racing card this Saturday will be run as scheduled including the six furlong $100,000 Rehoboth Stakes.
The beach towel and carabiner sunblock set giveaway, while supplies are last, is on schedule. The $10,000 guaranteed middle Pick 5 pool has been cancelled. First race post time is 12:35 p.m.
The new nomination closing date for the Cape Henlopen is Wednesday, June 4 and the new race draw date for the race is Tuesday, June 10.
