His Race to Win Seeking Repeat in Seagram Cup

Description:

Sam-Son Farm homebred His Race to Win will seek a repeat performance in the $150,000 Seagram Cup Stakes (Can-III) Aug. 2 at Woodbine.

The 5-year-old son of Stormy Atlantic   trained by Malcolm Pierce won last year's Seagram Cup, closing from last in the field of six to win by 1 1/4 lengths in the 1 1/16-mile event, but will face a full field in this year's edition, including three fellow graded winners and five other stakes winners.

His Race to Win hasn't won since last year's Seagram Cup, but the only entrant coming into this year's race off a graded win is Twin Creeks Racing Stables' Red Rifle, who won the July 1 Dominion Day Stakes (Can-III) at Woodbine.

Ami's Holiday and Florida Won are the other graded winners in the field of 12.
