There are 33 horses pre-entered in Arlington International Racecourse's trio of grade I events for the International Racing Festival Aug. 15, including 14 for the marquee event, the Arlington Million (gr. IT).
Post positions and morning-line odds will be revealed Aug. 12 during the noon news hour on Chicago's WGN-TV, which is hosting the draw at its studios.
Among Million pre-entries are rivals Slumber and Big Blue Kitten. Michael Dubb and partners' Slumber and Kenneth and Sarah Ramsey's Big Blue Kitten have faced each other and swapped places in the exacta in two consecutive grade I races: the Knob Creek Manhattan at Belmont Park and United Nations Stakes at Monmouth Park.
Team Valor's International's Euro Charline won last year's edition of the Beverly D. Stakes (gr. I) for fillies and mares and is among 10 pre-entered as is the Ramseys' 2014 runner-up Stephanie's Kitten.
Nine are pre-entered for the Secretariat (gr. IT) for 3-year-olds, including Richard Santulli's grade I winner Force the Pass.
