Fasig-Tipton's New York-Bred Yearlings Sale, scheduled for Aug.10-11 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., comes on the heels of their unprecedented record-setting Saratoga Sale of selected yearlings, and hopes to carry that momentum through Monday afternoon.
Early in the first session Sunday evening, Turning Point Bloodstock, agent, will offer Hip 316, a half brother to Mo Plex . By multiple grade 1 winner Improbable, the colt was bred in New York by Everything's Cricket Racing. He is the third foal of the unraced Uncle Mo mare Mo Joy.
Mo Joy's 2-year-old colt by Maximus Mischief died, according to Bill Johnson of Turning Point Bloodstock, and she was reported to have had a colt by Independence Hall in 2025.
"Obviously, today's an all-show day for the majority of the people, but he's definitely been a highlight," said Bill Johnson of Turning Point Bloodstock about Hip 316. "We've actually had a lot of people come—almost as a fan, wanting to see the brother (of Mo Plex), so that's kind of fun.
"He's doing well, he's showing well. We're pleased with how he came in."
New York's poster boy Mo Plex has made a name for himself even outside the Empire State, winning the Ohio Derby (G3) June 21 over West Virginia Derby (G3) winner Chunk of Gold . The son of Complexity recently finished fourth in the Jim Dandy Stakes (G2) at Saratoga Race Course, behind Kentucky Derby (G1) and Belmont Stakes (G1) winner Sovereignty .
Mo Plex won the Sanford Stakes (G3) at 2, and finished third behind Chancer McPatrick in the Champagne Stakes (G1). He has won five of his nine starts, finishing off the board only once and racking up earnings of $775,000.
Mo Plex, who is campaigned by R and H Stable, could make his next start in the $1 million Pennsylvania Derby (G1) Sept. 20 at Parx.

He was also consigned by Turning Point as a yearling at the 2023 Fasig-Tipton New York Bred Sale, where he failed to meet his reserve, achieving a final bid of $27,000. Trainer Jeremiah Englehart picked him up the following year at the 2024 Ocala Breeders Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds for $45,000 from pinhooker Jesse Hoppel's consignment.
"They are very similar in body and size," said Johnson on Mo Plex and his half brother (Hip 316). "They both have a little fire in them that comes out while showing."
Turning Point has a draft of 14 other horses entered in the sale, including yearlings by first-crop sires Cyberknife , Early Voting , Mind Control , Mo Donegal , Nashville , and a colt by the tried and true Candy Ride .
