Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Sunday the third in a special five-part series celebrating the history of Woodbine's most prolific stake races.
The latest 'Woodbine Week presented by Woodbine Entertainment' begins August 11 celebrating the 166th running of the prestigious King's Plate slated to be contested on Saturday, August 16. Throughout the week, HRRN will feature replays of past running's, interviews with winning connections and conversations pertaining to this year's renewal.
The King's Plate is Canada's oldest thoroughbred race and the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown. Special content will be available across the network's full platform of weekly talk shows, as well as on HRRN's social media pages, website and e-newsletters.
In addition to the King's Plate, Woodbine's Saturday program features five other exciting stakes races; The E.P. Taylor (G1), King Edward (G2), Bold Venture (G3), Catch A Glimpse and Soaring Free.
