A stakes-winning son of Afleet Alex , Admiral Alex stood the 2015 season for $1,500 at Shamrock Farm in Woodbine, Md.
Chuckie Inc. and Monica Williams' Captain Alex is one of five 2-year-olds in the first crop of Admiral Alex. Captain Alex is trained by Donnovan Haughton and he was guided to the 1 3/4-length victory by jockey Luis Garcia. Bred in Maryland by George Swope, Captain Alex is out of the Clever Secret mare Fran's Secretary.
