Saratoga, Del Mar Stakes Coverage on HRRN

Horse Racing Radio Network's "Road to the Breeders' Cup" series resumes this weekend with live coast-to-coast coverage from Saratoga Race Course and Del Mar.

The coverage begins Aug. 23 with Saratoga's Ballerina Stakes (gr. I), a Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" challenge series qualifier for the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (gr. I) division.  The broadcast will air from 5-6 p.m. EDT.

Coverage continues Aug. 24 with four hours of broadcasts, beginning with the "Equine Forum" live from Saratoga. The Equine Forum airs from 8-10 a.m. and can be heard on Sirius 93/XM 209 along with select terrestrial affiliates across the country and is streamed on the HRRN website.

The 144th running of the $1 million Travers Stakes (gr. I) highlights the Saturday afternoon programming from 4-6 p.m.  In addition to the Travers, the broadcast will include coverage of the Ballston Spa Stakes (gr. II), Test Stakes (gr. I) and Foxwoods King's Bishop Stakes (gr. I). 

On Aug. 25 HRRN will have 3 1/2 hours of live coverage from 5-8:30 p.m. showcasing a trio of Breeders' Cup Challenge races beginning with the Personal Ensign Invitational (gr. I) from Saratoga followed by the Pat O'Brien Stakes (gr. II) and TVG Pacific Classic (gr. I) from Del Mar.

HRRN president Mike Penna will anchor the coverage along with analyst Jude Feld and Chad Summers providing paddock commentary and interviews.
