War Dancer , New York's leading turf sire from 2022-24 and one of the state's leaders by progeny earnings on synthetic surfaces, will stand the 2026 breeding season at Mill Creek Farm near Stillwater, N.Y., it was announced Oct. 9 by War Dancer LLC.
War Dancer, a 15-year-old son of War Front , is a graded stakes winner with career earnings exceeding $1 million, who brings a proven track record to breeders looking for consistency, soundness, and versatility in their foals. His progeny have demonstrated success on turf and synthetic tracks, reinforcing his value to the region's competitive breeding landscape.
Through Oct. 8, he leads New York stallions by progeny earnings on turf in 2025. He is currently New York's fifth-leading sire overall.
His son, Twenty Six Black , won the Disco Partner Stakes this summer at Saratoga Race Course, ran second in the Troy Stakes (G2T), and was third in the Belmont Turf Sprint Stakes (G3T). War Dancer runners have earned more than $11.6 million.
"We're excited to be standing War Dancer at Mill Creek," War Dancer LLC's Robin Malatino said. "His success with breeders continues to grow, and with the addition of a synthetic surface at the new Belmont Park, we expect the demand to be strong. We believe Mill Creek's nearby facilities and experienced team make it the perfect place for him."
War Dancer's stud fee will be released later this month.
