‘Dancing With the Stars’ Trophy Next Target for Espinoza

Triple Crown-winning jockey Victor Espinoza will be exploring a new hobby this fall: dancing. ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" announced Tuesday that Espinoza will be a contestant when the show’s 21st season kicks off on Sept. 14. Espinoza made the announcement on ESPN2’s "SportsNation."
Having already experienced the glory of completing the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes sweep aboard American Pharoah as well as more than 3,200 wins and $180-million in earnings, Espinoza will now compete against fellow celebrities on the dance floor.

Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, has been announced as a fellow contestant. The full cast for this season is yet to be revealed, but past seasons have included celebrities and athletes like Evander Holyfield, Emmitt Smith, Billy Ray Cyrus, Kim Kardashian, Kelly Osbourne, Kurt Warner and Michael Waltrip. Tune in to ABC for the season premiere on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
