Due to frigid temperatures and windy conditions expected to impact the Mid-Atlantic region, Laurel Park and Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races have preemptively canceled racing on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Racing remains scheduled there Feb. 5-6, according to separate releases from the two tracks.
Cold weather and snow could affect racing at other tracks this weekend, with the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast forecast to have harsh conditions. Maryland is projected to have a high of 26 F on Saturday with occasional winds gusts above 40 mph. Wind chill values are expected in the single digits at Charles Town.
