Description:

After rolling to a 10-length victory in the Prairie Meadows Juvenile Mile Stakes Aug. 7, Mark Breen's Pinnacle Peak will try for a second straight stakes win Sunday, Sept. 6 in the $100,000 Sapling Stakes at Monmouth Park

Trained by Michael Stidham for owner Mark Breen, Pinnacle Peak finished second in his career debut, a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race July 18 at Prairie Meadows, but once stretched out to one mile for the Aug. 7 stakes race, the son of Yes It's True   thrived, easily putting away seven other juvenile rivals to secure his first career win.

While Pinnacle Peak will be racing away from Prairie Meadows for the first time, he will stay at that one-mile distance in the Sapling, which has attracted a field of six juveniles, including stakes-placed Full Salute. The son of Speightstown   enters off a runner-up finish in the Tyro Stakes Aug. 9 at five furlongs on the Monmouth turf.
