

Mana Racing's Tigrado became the first winner for WinStar Farm freshman sire Nashville in registering a 5-length victory in a 5-furlong maiden race May 7 at Horseshoe Indianapolis.
Making his third start after running third at Keeneland and fourth at Churchill Downs in a pair of outings last month, Tigrado delivered a professional performance. He stalked the pace in third early while three wide, took over in midstretch, and powered away late for a resounding victory. Ridden by Evin Roman, the Michel Douaihy trainee was timed in 1:00.55 for the distance on a fast track.
The bay juvenile colt, bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm, is out of the Tiznow mare Dancensing .
Nashville, campaigned by CHC and WinStar Farm and trained by Hall of Famer Steve Asmussen, won his first three starts as a 3-year-old, including the 2020 Perryville Stakes at Keeneland where he zipped 6 furlongs in a track record 1:07.89. He then closed out his 2020 campaign with a fourth-place finish in the Malibu Stakes (G1) at Santa Anita Park.
Nashville went on to notch one more victory in four other starts, winning a 6-furlong allowance optional claiming race in 2022 at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots with 6 furlongs in 1:08.61. He was retired to stud with a 4-1-0 record in eight starts with earnings of $233,350.
He stands this year for $12,500.
