Ka Ying Rising Tops World's Best Racehorse Rankings

Ka Ying Rising cruises in the Chairman's Sprint Prize at Sha Tin Racecourse
Riding a win streak of 20 races, Ka Ying Rising remains the top-ranked horse in the world.
The Hong Kong superstar, trained by David Hayes for the Ka Ying Syndicate, saw his rating rise from 128 to 130 in the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings after victories in the Sprint Cup (G2) and Chairman's Sprint Prize (G1), lowering his own track record in taking the latter race.
Three horses sit in the co-second position with ratings of 126: fellow Hong Kong standout Romantic Warrior , plus Europeans Bow Echo and Daryz . Bow Echo is the top-rated 3-year-old in the world after defeating Gstaad in the Two Thousand Guineas (G1). Daryz recently took the Prix Ganay (G1).
White Abarrio , who defeated Sovereignty and Journalism in the Oaklawn Handicap (G2) last month, is the top-ranked American horse, rated at 124 and tied with Opera Ballo for fifth place.
Other American-trained horses ranked include Magnitude and reigning Horse of the Year Sovereignty, both tied for eighth at 122; Nysos , a joint 13th at 121; plus Knightsbridge and Rhetorical , tied for 24th with ratings of 119.
Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Golden Tempo and other American 3-year-olds are all unranked with their ratings falling below 119.
The rankings, covering racing this year through May 10, are compiled by the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings Committee and published by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities.
