Scratches, Conditions for Belmont Stakes Day

Mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 80s are expected for much of the afternoon on June 6, Belmont Stakes Day, before a threat of rain arrives late afternoon. According to the National Weather Service, the greatest chance of precipitation comes between 4 - 8 p.m. ET, so stay tuned for any impact rain might have on the Belmont Stakes (G1), which is scheduled for 7:04 p.m.

The main track is fast, and the turf course is firm to begin the day. Some sprinkles shortly around the first race.
