Twelve Reasons Breeders’ Cup Season is the Best (in GIFs)

The Breeders’ Cup World Championships are right around the corner on Oct. 30-31 at Lexington, Ky.’s Keeneland Race Course. For people who love Thoroughbred racing, Breeders’ Cup season is the most wonderful time of the year. Why is that? Allow us to show you in GIF form: 
1. Triple Crown season (which includes the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes plus all of their prep races) is, of course, awesome.

2. But the Breeders’ Cup World Championships season may just be a little bit more fun.

4. There are qualifying races for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships just about every weekend at tracks around the country.

5. Also, some of the best horses from the Triple Crown races will be at the Breeders’ Cup to compete this fall! 

6. Unlike the three Triple Crown contests, there are 13 races at the World Championships. Thirteen! 

7. And that means that hundreds of the best Thoroughbreds in the world will be competing on Oct. 30-31 at Keeneland.

8. If you like to play the ponies, there are going to be some incredible betting opportunities at the Breeders’ Cup and big scores are pretty much guaranteed.

9. Once you find your favorite horse in each race, rooting them home to the finish line is so much fun!
