New Jersey Continues Sports Wagering Efforts

NJ.com reports the New Jersey Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association has joined Gov. Chris Christie and the state legislature in filing a motion Sept. 8 asking the full U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals consider the state's efforts to allow sports wagering at tracks and casinos.

The request was made to the full court two weeks after a three-judge panel from the same court rejected the state's plan, saying it would violate a federal laws banning sports wagering expansion.
