F-T Catalogs 318 for New York-Bred Yearling Sale

Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 318 entries for the New York Bred Yearlings Sale, to be held Aug. 16-17 in the Humphrey S. Finney Pavilion in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. 

The Sunday session will begin at 7 p.m. ET, and the Monday session will begin at noon.

"This is a must-attend sale for those looking for high-quality yearlings," said Fasig-Tipton president and CEO Boyd Browning Jr.  "We've assembled a strong catalog this year that showcases the best of the New York-bred crop."

The New York-bred program continues to expand to new heights. This year, all New York-bred 2-year-olds are competing for equal purse money as open company on the New York Racing Association circuit. In 2027, that purse parity program will expand beyond 2-year-old races to all New York-bred races.

"With expanded purse parity coming to the NYRA circuit in 2027, the New York-bred program will go from strength to strength," Browning said. "There has never been a better time to participate in the New York-bred program."

This year's catalog features three recent grade 1-winning graduates on the front cover: Rhetorical , who has established himself as one of the nation's elite turf horses after wins in the Turf Classic Stakes (G1T) and Turf Mile Stakes (G1T); Iron Orchard🔥 , winner of the Frizette Stakes (G1) at 2; and multiple graded stakes winner Usha , who captured the La Brea Stakes (G1) in December. 

Featured on the catalog's back cover are five graduates crowned New York-bred champions of 2025: Rhetorical (Horse of the Year and champion turf male), Arctic Beast  (champion 2-year-old male), Iron Orchard (champion 2-year-old filly), Mo Plex   (champion 3-year-old male), and Usha (champion 3-year-old filly and champion female sprinter).
