American Pharoah and Golden Horn both received their first losses of the season in August, but the pair maintained their two top spots in the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings.
Beyond the top two, Hong Kong-based Able Friend and Shared Belief are tied for third place, with French-based Solow and Treve tied for fifth.
Newcomers Keen Ice (sixth) and Beholder (seventh) make an appearance in the rankings following respective grade I victories in the Travers Stakes (gr. I) and TVG Pacific Classic (gr. I).
The World's Best Racehorse Rankings are compiled by the World's Best Racehorse Rankings Committee and published by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities.
