Burnham Square🔥 's victory in the Aug. 1 Arlington Million Stakes (G1T) propelled him into the middle of the top 10 on the National Thoroughbred Racing Association's weekly Top Thoroughbred Poll.

The 4-year-old gelded son of Liam's Map   and Whitham Thoroughbreds homebred captured his third graded stakes of the year in the Arlington Million, which is his second grade 1 win following his victory in the 2025 Blue Grass Stakes (G1). He has won five career graded stakes to date and has lifetime earnings of nearly $2.9 million.

Burnham Square jumped from 12th in the poll last week to sixth this week with 99 points. He has won four of five starts this year and was second in his only other start of the year for trainer Ian Wilkes.

Magnitude  remains affixed at the top of the ranking with 27 first-place votes and a total of 288 points. He is followed by Nysos , who was retired from racing this week and leaves the door wide open for a shuffling among the leaders. Entered in the Aug. 8 Whitney Stakes (G1) are five in the poll's top 10: Magnitude, Sovereignty  (5), Baeza🔥  (tied in 7th), White Abarrio  (tied in 7th), and Nitrogen  (9).

The Top Thoroughbred Poll represents horses competing for Horse of the Year. The poll concludes Nov. 3 following the Breeders' Cup World Championships.
