Sunday’s Grade 1, Ricoh Woodbine Mile Stakes brings together some of the best turf milers from around the world annually, and this year is no exception. Grade 1 winners Lea and Obviously are part of an 11-horse field that will compete for the lion’s share of a $1-million purse as well as a spot in the Breeders’ Cup Mile starting gate.

WOODBINE MILE DAY, 2011
0 – The number of times a 3-year-old has won the race. Mr. Owen will try to become the first sophomore victor this year.
