Deterministic wins the Fourstardave Stakes at Saratoga Race Course
Taking aim at pacesetting Mi Bago in the stretch, Deterministic🔥 kicked clear through the lane to capture the $750,000 Fourstardave Stakes (G1T) Aug. 8 at Saratoga Race Course for the second consecutive year.
Deterministic raced a mile on turf in the midst of a driving rainstorm in 1:35.07. He paid $5.22 for a $2 win bet in capturing his sixth race in a row.
Mi Bago held on for second, ahead of a traffic-impeded Zulu Kingdom in third.
The winner, bred by Hinkle Farms and trained by Miguel Clement for owners St. Elias Stable, Ken Langone, Steven Duncker, and Vicarage Stable, is a 5-year-old son of Liam's Map out of the Speightstown mare Giulio's Jewel .
With the Fourstardave part of the Breeders' Cup Challenge Series: Win and You're In, Deterministic earned a paid, automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup Mile (G1T) Oct. 31 at Keeneland.
