Kaleem Shah's Bayern, last year's Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) winner, will stand at Hill 'n' Dale Farms in 2016, farm president John Sikura said at the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association national awards dinner Sept. 11.

A two-time grade I winner for trainer Bob Baffert, the 4-year-old son of Offlee Wild   has a career bankroll of just more than $4.4 million and is still in training for the Hall of Fame conditioner, pointing to the Awesome Again Stakes (gr. I) at Santa Anita Park Sept. 26.

Including the Classic, Bayern won four graded stakes during his 3-year-old campaign in 2014. He also won the Woody Stephens (gr. II), William Hill Haskell Invitational (gr. I), and Pennsylvania Derby (gr. II).

Bayern's 4-year-old season hasn't gone as well. His best finish was a third in the San Diego Handicap (gr. II), but he also has off-the-board results in three other graded tries. He has a 6-1-2 record from 14 career starts.

Details on his stud fee have not been announced.
