When the summer began at Saratoga Race Course, one of the races that was a hot topic of anticipation was a maiden race on the third Saturday, July 18, where several talented 2-year-olds were being pointed. When the field completed the six furlongs that day, The Good Life stood head and shoulders above the rest as the 3 1/2-length winner.
