Silent Tactic Looks to Rebound in Oklahoma Derby

Millionaire Silent Tactic  looks to rebound in the $400,000 Oklahoma Derby (G3) Sept. 27, going 1 1/8 miles at Remington Park. He will face a field of nine 3-year-olds. 

The Mark Casse-trained son of Tacitus🔥  has had an unlucky summer campaign since missing the Kentucky Derby (G1) due to a bruised foot. He returned to the races last month with a third-place finish behind Renegade  in the Jim Dandy Stakes (G2). He then did not finish in the Travers Stakes (G1), being eased home by rider Luis Saez. He walked off the track under his own power. 

Cristian Torres, who was aboard the colt for his Southwest Stakes (G3) victory, will be reunited with Silent Tactic Sunday. 

Augustin Stables' West Virginia Derby (G3) winner Zihnal  will head south to build on his summer momentum. The son of Quality Road   won the 1 1/8-mile race by 6 1/4 lengths over Lexington Stakes (G3) winner Trendsetter . Prior to his West Virginia Derby win, Zihnal ran fourth behind eventual Travers winner Leading Change  in the Indiana Derby (G3).

New York-bred Tricky Business , a son of Vekoma   and 3-length winner of the Albany Stakes, steps into graded stakes company for the first time for trainer George Weaver.

Reddam Racing's homebred stakes winner and multiple graded stakes-placed Pavlovian  will look for his first win since his victory in the Sunland Park Derby in February.
