Coffee Clique, who won the Just A Game (gr. IT) last year at Belmont Park | BloodHorse.com Track Profile">Belmont Park, and Lady Lara, who has been toiling in grade I company in her last two starts, will carry co-highweight of 123 pounds in the $200,000 Noble Damsel Stakes (gr. IIIT) at one mile over the Belmont turf Sept. 19.
Coffee Clique has been unable to repeat her 2014 form, when she was undefeated in three starts. Her attempt to win this season's Just A Game resulted in a sixth-place finish. After winning the James Penny Memorial Handicap (gr. IIIT), she finished fifth in the Aug. 29 Ballston Spa (gr. IIT) at
Saratoga Race Course. This stalker should secure good racing position from her inside post.
Lady Lara was fourth in the Just A Game and then ran sixth in the Diana (gr. IT) at the Spa. Earlier this season she took the Honey Fox (gr. IIT) at
Gulfstream Park, her sole win on the year. The Irish-bred likes to do her running from off the pace.
Recepta has won half of her four races at a flat mile and ran well at Belmont in May when third in the Beaugay (gr. IIIT). She is coming off a victory in the De La Rose Stakes and should fit well with this group.
Crowley's Law makes her first stateside start. She has raced this season in England and Germany nibbling placings in stakes events and seems to have early speed.
Devilish Love was sixth in last year's Noble Damsel and has hit the board in all four of her races since without tasting victory.
Baffle Me was defeated soundly by Coffee Clique in the James Penny and has been off form since winning at Gulfstream last April.
Marbre Rose comes in off a victory in the Seaway (Can-IIIT) in August, but was no match for Lady Lara in the Honey Fox. She has rolled a pair of runner-up finishes over the Belmont lawn this season.
Tuttipaesi has not won in a couple of years, but finished well enough to be second to Recepta in the De La Rose after a six-month layoff. Improvement off that could make her a live longshot.
Miss Frost has run five poor races in a row since winning the Riskaverse more than a year ago.
