Commerce Lexington Inc., a member-driven organization promoting economic development, job creation, and overall business growth in Lexington, has been named an official partner of the Breeders' Cup World Championships.

The Breeders' Cup will be held for the first time at Keeneland Oct. 30-31.

As a part of the agreement, Commerce Lexington will offer concierge services to business personnel and international guests at this year's event throughout the Lexington area. Representatives of Commerce Lexington will also be on site at Keeneland during the breakfasts and morning workouts each day assisting the horsemen with hospitality needs.

In addition, Commerce Lexington will provide services at the Apiary, the official downtown hospitality center of the Breeders' Cup, and at the Taste of the World party the evening of Oct. 29. Commerce Lexington will also promote community-wide involvement and interaction by securing local business leaders to attend the Breeders' Cup post-position draw presented by Rood & Riddle Oct. 26 in the Maker's Mark Bourbon Lounge at Keeneland.

"We welcome the Commerce Lexington partnership for this year's World Championships and salute its commitment to provide concierge and hospitality services at our facilities and official events," Breeders' Cup president and chief executive officer Craig Fravel said. "We have been very pleased with the enthusiastic support from the Lexington business community, which is an essential part of managing an international event of this magnitude to proceed smoothly and efficiently."

"We are so excited to partner with the Breeders' Cup during this great opportunity to showcase Lexington and the Bluegrass region to the world," said Bob Quick, president and CEO of Commerce Lexington. "We look forward to telling our story to the many international guests and horsemen who will descend on historic Keeneland in late October."
