Taking out his training license in late 2014 after nine years as an assistant trainer, 30-year-old Joe Sharp has quickly risen to the top level of the sport. The trainer, with wife Rosie Napravnik by his side, won his first graded stakes race with Sandbar in May of 2015 only a few months after he took out his training license. Based in Kentucky, with a string of horses in Saratoga over the summer, Sharp started with five horses in his barn but now has over 75 with a strong string of 2-year-olds to debut in coming months.
