On Oct. 3, NBC will be showing three huge races, all of which qualify their winners for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Oct. 30-31. Need more reasons to tune in? Let us provide them. In GIF form, of course, because this is the Internet.
1. Seeing an actual Triple Crown win this year left you so excited.
2. As much as you love American Pharoah, you also want to find out about the horses who will run against him in the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Oct. 31.
3. You may even want to find the right Thoroughbred and bet against Pharoah in the biggest race of his career.
4. Or, you may have a horse that you’re already in love with, and you want to see him or her run in full, high-definition glory.
5. Specifically, you want to be able to cheer that horse on without having to put on adult human clothing.
6. Also, you can totally bet on horse racing online, at home, and completely legally.
7. Which means that, with a well-placed bet, you and your friends can make a little cash to kick off Saturday night.
8. Also, we all know that half the fun of watching sports in your living room is that you can eat ALL of the snacks.
9. But if it’s been a long week, you can just order a pizza, throw on the TV and relax.
10. Since the Super Saturday races on NBC will take place in Kentucky and New York, why not make Manhattans? A bourbon cocktail named after the Big Apple’s most famous borough is the best of both worlds. WIN.
11. Maybe you want to get excited for the next generation of horses: the ones who will run in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and on the 2016 Triple Crown trail.
12. Well, this TV show will have that, too: the Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity is going to feature some rock star 2-year-olds who will be trying for Triple Crown glory next year.
No matter the reason, the Super Saturday show on NBC on Oct. 3 is going to be some fun TV! Be sure to tune in, root for your favorite horse, and get ready for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships on October 30-31 at Keeneland Race Course.
