Keeneland officials have confirmed that Flaxman Holdings' homebred Tacticus suffered a fatal leg fracture during training the morning of Oct. 4 at the Lexington track and was euthanized.

The 4-year-old son of A. P. IndyVisions of Clarity, by Sadler's Wells, had made three starts in the U.S. after shipping from Europe to trainer Graham Motion and was developing into a solid distance stakes star.

In his second stateside start, he won the 1 3/4-mile Birdstone Stakes at Saratoga Race Course and then won the 1 5/8-mile Temperence Hill Stakes Sept. 12 at Belmont Park.

He went 4-0-3 in 12 starts and earned $197,571.
