Meadowlands Cancels Racing for Oct. 9

With heavy rain hitting East Rutherford, N.J. in early afternoon, Meadowlands Racetrack canceled live racing for Friday, Oct. 9.
Live racing will resume on Saturday, Oct. 10 with a first post of 7 p.m. ET.
The cancellation was the third during the all-turf Thoroughbred meet that runs through Oct. 31 with live racing Fridays and Saturdays. A Columbus Day card will be offered on Monday, Oct. 12. Post time is 7 p.m. nightly, except Columbus Day, when post time will be 2:15 p.m., and Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31, Breeders' Cup days, when post time will be 12:30 p.m.
