Top miler Jack Milton, currently the leading U.S. turf earner for his sire War Front  , has been retired and will be offered as a stallion prospect at Fasig-Tipton's mixed sale in Lexington on Nov. 1.

The 5-year-old multiple graded stakes winner will be consigned for owner Gary Barber by Bluewater Sales.

Jack Milton won the 2015 Maker's 46 Mile Stakes (gr. IT) at Keeneland in April, one of his eight starts in graded stakes for trainer Todd Pletcher. He is also the winner of the 2013 Transylvania Stakes (gr. IIIT) and the 2014  Poker Stakes (gr. IIIT). He retires with a 5-2-5 record from 19 starts for earnings of $853,828.

"He is very handsome and correct, best at a mile and won graded stakes at 3, 4, and 5," said Meg Levy of Bluewater. "Add together War Front and Jack Milton's female family and he has many qualities breeders value in a stallion."

Jack Milton was bred in Kentucky by Seth Hancock's Cherry Valley Farm out of the Forty Niner mare Preserver, from a productive Claiborne family. Close up in his pedigree are Eclipse Award-winning champion male juvenile War Pass and Spinaway Stakes (gr. I) winner Oath. He will be prepared for the Nov. 1 sale at Bluewater Farm in Lexington and may be inspected there by appointment until Oct. 29.
