I'm a Chatterbox worked five furlongs in 1:00 2/5 on October 17.

A week after a bullet work at Keeneland, Fletcher and Carolyn Gray's homebred I'm a Chatterbox was back on the track Oct. 17, breezing five furlongs in 1:00 2/5 as she continues working toward the Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff (gr. I).

According to Keeneland clockers, the Sept. 19 Cotillion Stakes (gr. I) winner went in split times of :11 2/5, :23 2/5m and :47 4/5 while galloping out six furlongs in 1:13 2/5 under regular rider Florent Geroux.

Trainer Larry Jones had initially scheduled the 3-year-old Munnings filly's work for Oct. 18 but altered the plan because Geroux was going to be at Woodbine that day rather than Keeneland.

"Today she was a little more agreeable; last week she was pretty rank because it was her first work in three weeks since the Cotillion," Jones said of the Oct. 11 when she breezed a half-mile in :47 1/5, fastest work of the day at the distance. "She went pretty quick last timeI'm not saying tooquick, but she was really toting him (Geroux) around there last week.

"She started off (today) just a little high-headed but then settled in and did what he wanted her to do. This was good."
