Greenpointcrusader works at Keeneland Oct. 19.

Greenpointcrusader put in the first of two scheduled Keeneland works for the $2 million Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) by working five furlongs in 1:01 4/5 over a fast track the morning of Oct. 19.

With jockey Jo Bravo aboard for trainer Dominick Schettino, the St. Elias Stable, MeB Racing Stables, and Brooklyn Boyz Stables' grade I winner was timed in splits of :13 2/5, :25 3/5, and :38, while galloping out six furlongs in 1:15 2/5.

"This was just a maintenance move and he doesn't have to do too much," Schettino said. "We will come back with something similar Saturday or Sunday depending on the weather. There is rain in the forecast for Sunday, so we may move it up a day."

A 2-year-old son of Bernardini  , Greenpointcrusader won the Champagne (gr. I) in his most recent start with Bravo aboard for the first time.

"I did not work him before the Champagne," Bravo said. "This was the first time and he was awesome. He is pretty pleasant to ride and he wanted to do it."

With eight Breeders' Cup mounts to date, Bravo has six mounts this year in Cup races, all grade I: Merry Meadow (Filly & Mare Sprint), Sheer Drama (Longines Distaff-G1), Big Blue Kitten (Longines Turf), Watsdachances (Filly & Mare Turf) and Conquest Daddyo (Juvenile Turf).
