The Breeders' Cup has announced the official order of races, and guaranteed multi-race wagering pools, for the 2015 Breeders' Cup World Championships on Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31 at Keeneland in Lexington.
There will be a total of 10 races (four Breeders' Cup races) on the Championship Friday program and 12 races on Championship Saturday (nine Breeders' Cup races). Championship Friday begins at 12:30 p.m. ET with five undercard races. Championship Saturday first post is 11 a.m. ET, and begins with two undercards races.
All Breeders' Cup races Friday and Saturday are grade I.
The first Breeders' Cup race on Friday will be the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (3:30 p.m.); followed by the $1 million Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (4:10 p.m.); the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (4:50 p.m.); and the $2 million Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff (5:35 p.m.).
Championship Saturday begins with two stakes races followed by the $2 million 14 Hands Winery Juvenile Fillies (12:05 p.m.); $1 million Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (12:45 p.m.); $1 million Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (1:25p.m.); $2 million Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (2:10 p.m.); $1.5 million Breeders' Cup Sprint (2:50 p.m.), $2 million Breeders' Cup Mile (3:30 p.m.); $2 million Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile (4:10); $3 million Longines Breeders' Cup Turf (4:50 p.m.). and the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic (5:35 p.m.).
Friday's card will open with a $500,000 Pick 5 on Races 1-5. There will be an Ultra Pick 6 on Races 5-10 with a $750,000 guarantee and an all Breeders' Cup Pick 4 on Races 6-9 with a $1.5 million minimum guarantee. There will be a Distaff-Classic Daily Double wager with a $500,000 guarantee.
There will be a $500,000 guaranteed Pick 5 on Races 1-5; an early all Breeders' Cup Pick 4 with a $1.5 million guarantee on Races 3-6; a $2 million guaranteed all Breeders' Cup Ultra Pick 6 on races 6-11; a $3 million guaranteed all Breeders' Cup late Pick 4, Races 8-11, and a new "Classic Pick 3" worth a minimum of $750,000 on the Juvenile, Turf and Classic, Races 9-11. The Pick 6 minimum has been lowered to $1.00, while the trifecta, Pick 3, Pick 4 and Pick 5 bet minimums remain at 50 cents.
