I'm a Chatterbox worked five furlongs in 1:00 2/5 at Keeneland on Oct 24.

Trainer Larry Jones called an audible and sent Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff (gr. I) contender I'm a Chatterbox out to work early Oct. 24 at Keeneland as a light rain fell on the Lexington track.

Under jockey Florent Geroux, Fletcher and Carolyn Gray's homebred 3-year-old Munnings   filly went five furlongs in 1:00 2/5 with a gallop out in 1:14 3/5 after splits of :11 4/5, :23 3/5, and :36 1/5.

"I had already been looking at the weather and thought, 'Man, it's not going to be good until Monday,' " Jones said. "The jock came back and he said, 'I just worked one, it was good. I can get on her now if you want,' and I said, 'Let's go.' "

It was the third Keeneland work for I'm a Chatterbox, who comes into the Oct. 30 Distaff off a win in the Sept. 19 Cotillion Stakes (gr. I) at Parx Racing. On Oct. 17 she went five furlongs in an identical 1:00 2/5, and Oct. 11 she got a bullet four furlongs in :47 1/5.

NOVAK: I'm a Chatterbox Rallies to Cotillion Victory

"She went good, really good," Jones said of this latest move. "She came back and drank about half a bucket of water. Very easy.

"It's going about as well as we could hope, because nothing went screwy bad. We didn't do anything super fast, didn't do anything super slow. It all kind of fell into the right spots. We're about good, as long as the exercise rider doesn't let her run off this week."

I'm a Chatterbox will move with the rest of the Breeders' Cup horses to the Rice Road annex, where she will be stabled in Barn 68 beginning Oct. 25.
