Judy the Beauty worked five furlongs in :59 4/5 at Keeneland Race Course Oct. 26.

Champion Judy the Beauty put in her final work toward the defense of her TwinSpires Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (gr. I) win with a five-furlong breeze at Keeneland Race Course Oct. 26.

With even splits of :12, :24, and :36, the 6-year-old mare was timed in :59 4/5, second-fastest of the day at the distance. She galloped out six furlongs in 1:13 3/5.

"Awesome," owner/trainer Ward said the work. "We're ready. She's doing super."

The Ontario-bred daughter of Ghostzapper   parlayed her 2014 F&M Sprint victory into an Eclipse Award as champion female sprinter.

Purchased by Ward for $20,000 from breeder Adena Springs Farm at the 2010 Keeneland September yearling sale, Judy the Beauty has won or placed in the top three in 20 of 21 starts, winning eight races and amassing career earnings of $1,765,922.
