Are you planning a celebration for the Breeders’ Cup and not sure where to start? Below are a few things to keep in mind as you begin to coordinate your soiree. I’ve also included some useful links from the team at ABR that touch on these ideas in more detail.
TV tuned to NBC Sports and NBC: Fire up the big screen for a weekend of horse racing binge watching. Coverage begins at 3 p.m. Eastern on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
RACING AT KEENELAND

Programs/past performances/Daily Racing Form: Keep your guests in-the-know with a plethora of horse racing literature available for them to soak in (download here). It will only add to their level of enjoyment.
Load up an ADW: A little skin the game heightens the stakes and can add excitement to your get-together. Be sure to deposit some cash so you can make a bet or two throughout the horse racing viewing marathon that is Breeders’ Cup weekend.
Food and drinks: Beer (recommendations), food (recommendations), and bourbon (recommendations) are all essentials for this edition of the Breeders’ Cup, which celebrates all things Kentucky.

Costumes: What better way to celebrate Halloween weekend than with some horse racing-themed costumes at your Breeders’ Cup party? Penelope Miller whipped up these fun ideas that play off of some of the biggest stars in the game.
Good vibes: You want karma on your side this weekend. Spread the horse racing love, perhaps by inviting a friend over who isn’t a huge fan, but may enjoy the added fanfare the Breeders’ Cup brings. These are the days when horse racing really shines, which makes it a great opportunity to share this game we all love.
