Irad Ortiz Jr. amassed 50 victories during the Belmont Park fall meet to earn his third consecutive riding title at the New York track.

Ortiz, 23, entered the fall meeting fresh off of his first riding title at Saratoga Race Course, his sixth overall New York Racing Association honor. The native of Puerto Rico won consecutive leading jockey titles during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 Aqueduct inner track meetings before tying Javier Castellano during the 2014 Belmont spring/summer meet. Ortiz stood alone at the top of the standings last fall at Belmont, clinching the 2014 NYRA overall riding title.

Ortiz's 50 wins included the grade I Flower Bowl Invitational aboard the Chad Brown-trained Stephanie's Kitten on Oct. 3. Paired together four weeks later, they went on to victory in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (gr. IT). Ortiz's younger brother Jose Ortiz rode a winner on closing day to tie Javier Castellano for second-place with 40 victories apiece.

Chad Brown picked up his fifth consecutive Belmont fall training title with 35 wins, 16 more than runner-up Linda Rice. Dominating the fall standings since tying for his first in 2012, Brown's wins this season included graded stakes scores in the grade I Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational with Big Blue Kitten, the Hill Prince (gr. IIIT) with Takeover Target, and the Bold Ruler (gr. IIIT) with Matrooh.

In a much closer contest, Ken and Sarah Ramsey got up in the final strides to secure leading owner honors. The Ramseys entered closing day tied with Godolphin Stable for the title with eight wins each before picking up a pair of upset victories with 11-1 Borseggiatore in Sunday's second race and 15-1 Moon Medal in the sixth to close out the fall meet with 10 wins.
