Treasure Valley Racing president John Sheldon told a Boise, Idaho, radio station that Les Bois Park will not offer live racing in 2016 following the ruling that historical racing machines at the track are illegal.
Sheldon told radio station KBOI (670 AM) that Les Bois has had to let go 86 employees since the ruling and he understands not offering live racing will be difficult for the horsemen who have supported the meet.
"It makes it really difficult,'' Sheldon told KBOI. "Owners are looking for where they are going to send their horses. They're trying to come up with their plan for 2016, and we had hoped that Les Bois Park could be a big part of that, but with no revenue coming in from historic racing, they're going to have to find other places to run."
