Big Chief Racing's Exaggerator is the top earner among 13 pre-entered for the $1 million Delta Downs Jackpot (gr. III) for 2-year-olds Nov. 21.

The Jackpot, at 1 1/16 miles, is a qualifying race on the "Road to the Kentucky Derby" schedule. The winner will get 10 points, followed by four for second, two for third, and one for fourth.

Exaggerator, with $383,120 in earnings thus far, won the grade II Saratoga Special and finished second in the grade I Claiborne Breeders' Futurity before his fourth-place finish in the Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) in his last start. The Curlin   colt is trained by Keith Desormeaux.

Other pre-entrants are Dennis Drazin's Sunny Ridge, second in the Champagne Stakes (gr. I); Reddam Racing's Found Money, winner of the Santa Anita Juvenile Stakes; Forevamo, winner of the Jean Lafitte Stakes at Delta Downs Racetrack Casino & Hotel; Gabe Grossberg's Siding Spring; Tarabilla Farms' Rare Candy; Rosemont Farm's Harlan Punch; Thoroughbred Investment Fund's Memories of Winter; Terry Eoff's Texas Jambalaya; Southern Springs Stables' Whitmore; Gennadi Dorochenko's Roman's Chance; Dr. Michael Rotstein's Iron Dome; and Heidi Crane's Cowboy Classic.

Final entries and post positions will be drawn Nov. 16. First preference for the race will be given to Forevamo, by virtue of his win in the Jean Lafitte. After that preference will be given to horses that have finished first, second, or third in a grade I or grade II race, then preference goes to those horses that have finished in the money in any graded stakes.

The final determinant to get into the field will be lifetime earnings at the time of pre-entries closing. The field is limited to a maximum of 10 starters, with two on the also-eligible list.

Delta, which usually races at night, will have first post time of 1:15 p.m. CST for the Saturday Jackpot program. There will be eight stakes on the card with total purses of $2.3 million.
