Toews On Ice tries graded stakes company in the $100,000 Bob Hope Stakes.

Stakes winning juvenile Toews On Ice will take his first step into graded stakes company Nov. 14 at Del Mar in the $100,000 Bob Hope Stakes (gr. III).

Owned by Karl Watson, Mike Pegram, and Paul Weitman and trained by Bob Baffert, the son of Archarcharch   has won back-to-back sprint stakes by wide marginsthe Speakeasy at Santa Anita Park Oct. 18 (4 1/4 lengths) and the Barretts Juvenile Sept. 20 at Los Alamitos Race Course (7 1/2 lengths)in his past two starts.

Speakeasy runner-up Street Vision also returns to challenge, and Arnold Zetcher's On Fire is the only colt entered in the field with graded experience. The son of Friesan Fire   trained by Simon Callaghan finished a far-back eighth in the Sept. 26 Frontrunnner (gr. I) last time out and will switch to first-time jockey Victor Espinoza, who will replace Gary Stevens in the seven-furlong Bob Hope.

Stevens will be aboard William Dean Reeves' standout debut winner Mac Daddy Mac, who won an Oct. 24 maiden special weight for previous owner Wounded Warrior Stables and trainer Jack Carava by 4 1/2 lengths. The Put It Back colt is now trained by Katherine Ritvo.

Fellow last-out debut winners Dr. Dorr and Jury, along with stakes-placed turf runner I'malreadythere, complete the field.
