James McIngvale's Runhappy, winner of the TwinSpires Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I) Oct. 31 at Keeneland, breezed five furlongs in :57 at the Central Kentucky track the morning of Nov. 25. The 3-year-old son of Super Saver   is being pointed toward the Dec. 26 Malibu Stakes (gr. I) at Santa Anita Park.

"It was pretty strong:57 flat and he galloped out in 1:10 and change," said trainer Laura Wohlers. "I wasn't going to go quite that quick with him. The track was beautiful. You could barely hear him getting over it this morning."

Runhappy, based at the Thoroughbred Training Center just north of Lexington, was vanned to Keeneland for the work.

"We wanted to come to Keeneland and run over a bigger track that has better turns," Wohlers said. "It looks like there is going to be a lot of rain next week and I wanted ot get one really solid work in him before he shipped. The weather has been a little limiting here."

Runhappy is scheduled to ship to Southern California Dec. 3. He will be stabled at Santa Anita in the barn of trainer Bob Hess.

Runhappy, bred in Kentucky by Wayne Lyster and his sons Bryan and Gray, is riding a five-race win streak dating back to early July. Prior to the Breeders' Cup he won the NYRA.com King's Bishop Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga Race Course and Keeneland's Stoll Ogden Phoenix Stakes (gr. III). He set a six-furlong track mark of 1:08.58 in the Breeders' Cup.

Runhappy is slated to get a break following the Malibu; Wohlers said the big bay will head to Texas and get about a month off at her farm.
