Amis Gizmo flies home to win the Kingarvie Stakes.

Ivan Dalos' homebred Amis Gizmo is unbeaten in four career starts—all stakes—after taking the $125,000 Kingarvie Stakes for Ontario-sired 2-year-olds Nov. 28 at Woodbine.

The Kingarvie was the first of a pair of stakes for juveniles on Saturday's card and was followed by Sparkles' Girl's victory in the $150,000 Ontario Lassie for Ontario-bred fillies.

Leading at every point of call after vying for command early, odds-on favorite Amis Gizmo repelled a challenge from Aye Aye Captain at the top of the stretch, finding another gear and kicking away to the win. Conquest Cavalry was third after pressing the winner from second before Aye Aye Captain spurted past at the quarter pole.

Ridden by Luis Contreras for trainer Josie Carroll, Amis Gizmo finished the 1 1/16-mile trip on the all-weather main track in 1:44.64. Racing exclusively at Woodbine, he sprinted to successive stakes scores in the Simcoe, Bull Page, and Frost King ahead of his first attempt around two turns in Saturday's race.

By Giant Gizmo   and bred in the name of Dalos' Tall Oaks Farm, Amis Gizmo ($2.90) is out of the unraced Victory Gallop mare Galloping Ami, who also is the dam of 2014 Martha Washington winner Aragorn Ami (Aragorn) and multiple graded stakes placed Ami's Flatter (Flatter  ), third in the 2015 Besilu Stables Florida Derby (gr. I).

Two races later on the card, Emma-Jayne Wilson gave 4-1 third-choice Sparkles' Girl a ground-saving trip in the Ontario Lassie. The winner stalked from third on the rail, took over entering the lane, and romped away to a three-length triumph for a breakthrough stakes win.

C. E. C. Farm's filly from the first crop of Society's Chairman   easily bested 6-5 favorite Garavogue Colleen, who outfinished 46-1 longshot Zermatta by three-quarters of a length for second.

Sparkles Girl ($4.30) covered 1 1/16 miles in 1:45.82 on the all-weather track while winning for the second time in five career starts for trainer John Charalambous.

Sparkles Girl was bred by Spring Farm from the unplaced Trust N Luck mare Trusted.
